Tender Qualification Snapshot

A light, human-reviewed view of visible requirements, evidence burden, timing pressure and open information for one opportunity.

Purpose

See what needs checking before a deeper commercial review.

The Snapshot sits between opportunity monitoring and the full Brief. It brings together the visible tender factors that may affect the amount of work, evidence and mobilisation planning required.

It does not score the tender, decide whether it is suitable or tell the supplier whether to proceed.

Snapshot content

A focused first view of the opportunity.

Opportunity summary

Buyer, service, location, procurement route, dates and source links where visible.

Visible requirements

Service, workforce, accreditations, policies, experience or partnership requirements that are clear from the available material.

Evidence burden

The main evidence categories that appear to be requested, without writing or evaluating the bid response.

Timing pressure

Visible response, mobilisation and service-start dates, plus gaps that may affect planning.

Commercial questions

Payment, volume, contract, staffing or delivery information that needs checking before costs can be understood properly.

Source confidence

A clear distinction between confirmed notice information, supplier input and information that remains missing.

Useful when

The opportunity is relevant enough to inspect, but not ready for a full Brief.

  • The supplier needs a quick view of visible effort and evidence.
  • Key commercial details are not yet clear.
  • A deadline or mobilisation date creates early planning pressure.
  • The supplier wants to identify the questions that need answering next.
Not included

The Snapshot remains deliberately light.

  • No bid recommendation or suitability score.
  • No proposal writing or response drafting.
  • No contract-specific payment prediction.
  • No detailed working-capital model unless the deeper Brief is requested and enough inputs exist.

When the full Brief is useful

The deeper Brief is appropriate when the supplier wants to combine the tender with its own authorised operating assumptions and examine mobilisation dependencies, working-capital exposure, gaps, confidence and source trails.

Decision rule

The Snapshot presents visible information and open questions. The supplier remains responsible for deciding whether and how to pursue the opportunity.
